Category: the Rant Board
Hi everybody.
I'm really having a problem with my dad. You see, I volunteer for Heart and Stroke a couple of days a wee. My dad would often keep bugging me about going every day and I've had to tell him that it's not always possible. The reason is because there are moments when my supervisor may have things on the go, or something like that. Gummybear, I know you saw this in my private message to you, so I'm just posting this on the boards in order to get other oppinions. Anyway, it really gets on my nerves when my dad won't admit that it's not always possible for me to go to work every day.

Jamie at 35 you should be able to sort out this problem without our help...you sound more like a moaning teenager
All you should really have to do is explain to your dad that you can't go every day. If he complains about it, just don't pay attention; if he lectures you on it, listen out of respect if you feel you must, but you really shouldn't let this get to you. I mean, if the people you work with know that you can't go every day, that really should be enough, as those are who you should care if they know about that.
